A little uniform grey and tiny bit of white mixed in to add detail to the hair 👍

Once I feel more confident with the faces I will tutorialise my process but for now these are the colours 😁

Just a little update on the weapon grips done during insomnia last night.

A coat of warlock purple, dark tone wash and then delicate dry brush of ash grey.

I think it looks effective and echoes the official scheme without being overpowering.

Little update tonight…

Matt White, thinned a lot to highlight the inner robe and the off white tabard! Soon I can attempt some better pictures but for now it’s what you see…

Being back at work and so so lazy when I get home it’s a quick update today.

Restored the gold after its shader and edge highlights with the Shining silver.

It looks very subtle but it works for me.

Going to be busy most of the weekend, but I may have some updates on a little side project over the weekend 😉

Just a quick one from this morning…

Restored the original deep blue colour on the raised elements, and added a line of wolf grey along the creases. Added a bit of definition to the shoulder plate and added an edge highlight on the blue shield rim.

I have chosen the wolf grey as it keeps the blue cool, and doesn’t have a stark *pop* like a lighter blue would. Keeping the cool feel will help balance the colours once the gold gets its highlights, and naturally gold is warm!

Ok so here I have started some highlights. Stormhost Silver was used for a quick dry brush on the maceheads and followed by an edge highlight of the same.

Silver was also used for the chains, shoulder icons and all the anvil icons, even on the shields.

So a quiet Sundays progress:

Weapon hafts.

Hmmm crappy pictures but the remaining metals are painted.

This is the only bare skin to cover.

I have used a very dark grey for the gauntlet and belt leathers and Dark Tone to shade the same, in addition to the silver areas.

Flesh wash for the flesh…

Normally I blitz this painting so fast, but this was a relaxed day 😉

Hopefully you can see how I have used the dark and soft tones. Both mixed 50/50 with the Lahmian Medium. Soft tone on the Mummy Robes, and Dark tone on the white and blue for subtle shading.

So here is my progress…

Its not showing very well, but the inner robe is painted white and the tabard in the off white mummy robes in keeping with the Hammers of Sigmar colours.

Once I apply the washes we will see a better difference 😉
